Vermont county laws
Select your county on the map or in the list. Each county page links to the official county code and meeting agendas, and lists recent ordinances and resolutions, in plain language where a summary has been written. County laws change often, and the official source is always the authority.
Good to know: Vermont’s 14 counties do not have a county government that passes local laws; they mainly serve as districts for courts, sheriffs and state’s attorneys. Local laws are made by Vermont’s cities and towns and by the state.
