Missouri county laws

Select your county on the map or in the list. Each county page links to the official county code and meeting agendas, and lists recent ordinances and resolutions, in plain language where a summary has been written. County laws change often, and the official source is always the authority.

Good to know: Missouri counties are run by a county commission, or in some counties by a county council or legislature (St. Louis County, St. Charles County, Jefferson County and Jackson County). The City of St. Louis is independent of any county. Cities and towns pass their own local laws; this guide covers county government only.
