Minnesota county laws

Select your county on the map or in the list. Each county page links to the official county code and meeting agendas, and lists recent ordinances and resolutions, in plain language where a summary has been written. County laws change often, and the official source is always the authority.

Good to know: Minnesota counties are governed by an elected Board of County Commissioners, which passes county ordinances (for example on land use, solid waste and public health). Cities and townships make their own local laws separately.
