Kentucky county laws

Select your county on the map or in the list. Each county page links to the official county code and meeting agendas, and lists recent ordinances and resolutions, in plain language where a summary has been written. County laws change often, and the official source is always the authority.

Good to know: Kentucky counties are run by a fiscal court (the county judge/executive and the magistrates or commissioners), which passes county ordinances. Louisville-Jefferson County and Lexington-Fayette County are combined city-county governments. Cities pass their own local laws; this guide covers county government only.
