Georgia county laws

Select your county on the map or in the list. Each county page links to the official county code and meeting agendas, and lists recent ordinances and resolutions, in plain language where a summary has been written. County laws change often, and the official source is always the authority.

Good to know: Georgia counties are governed by a Board of Commissioners (a few by a single commissioner). Several are consolidated with a city: Athens-Clarke, Augusta-Richmond, Columbus-Muscogee, Macon-Bibb, Cusseta-Chattahoochee and Georgetown-Quitman. Cities are not listed.
