Connecticut county laws
Select your county on the map or in the list. Each county page links to the official county code and meeting agendas, and lists recent ordinances and resolutions, in plain language where a summary has been written. County laws change often, and the official source is always the authority.
Good to know: Connecticut abolished county government in 1960, so it has no county laws. The U.S. Census Bureau now uses nine planning regions in place of counties; each is run by a council of governments, a group of local towns that plans and coordinates but does not make local laws. Each of Connecticut’s 169 towns and cities makes its own.
