Constitutional Amendment A: Publishing proposed constitutional amendments
On the ballot: November 3, 2026 Legislatively referred constitutional amendment
Heads up: voting YES on this measure removes the constitutional requirement to publish proposed amendments in newspapers.
A YES vote means
Proposed constitutional amendments would be published for 60 days before the general election in a manner set by state law, which under H.B. 481 means the Utah Public Notice Website and the Lieutenant Governor’s website, instead of in newspapers.
A NO vote means
The constitution would still require publishing proposed amendments in a newspaper in each county for two months before the election.
