Constitutional Amendment 3: Nominating committees for university boards of regents
On the ballot: November 3, 2026 Legislatively referred constitutional amendment
A YES vote means
The governor would appoint nonstudent regents of state educational institutions from lists provided by nominating committees set up by the Legislature, and student regents from lists provided by elected student governing bodies.
A NO vote means
The governor would continue to appoint regents, with Senate consent, under the current rules.
