Amendment 6: Initiative and referendum process
On the ballot: November 3, 2026 Citizen-initiated constitutional amendment
A YES vote means
The legislature could not directly change laws passed by initiative; changes would have to be referred to voters by at least 80% of each chamber, and the legislature could not pass laws limiting initiatives and referenda.
A NO vote means
The current constitutional provisions on initiatives and referenda stay as they are.
