Proposed Amendment No. 1: Transfer of disabled veteran property tax exemption by surviving spouse
On the ballot: November 3, 2026 Legislatively referred constitutional amendment
A YES vote means
A surviving spouse of a veteran with a service-connected disability who receives the additional property tax exemption could transfer that exemption once to a new qualifying home, starting January 1, 2027.
A NO vote means
The constitution would not change; the exemption could not be transferred this way.
