Proposition 319: Photo enforcement systems
On the ballot: November 3, 2026 Statute referred by the Legislature (cannot later be changed except by a three-fourths legislative vote that furthers its purpose, or by voters)
A YES vote means
State agencies and local governments could not use traffic photo enforcement unless they have a contract by December 31, 2026, and local governments would need voter approval at the next general election, and every 10 years after, to keep using it.
A NO vote means
Current laws on photo enforcement systems stay as they are.
