Statewide Amendment 4: Weekly Star-Spangled Banner in public schools

On the ballot: November 3, 2026 Legislatively referred constitutional amendment (Act 2026-424)

A YES vote means

Every local board of education would have to adopt a policy requiring each public K-12 school to broadcast or allow a performance of the first stanza of The Star-Spangled Banner at least once a week during school hours.

A NO vote means

The Alabama Constitution would not be changed.
