Ballot Measure 2 (24ESEG): Party primaries, ranked-choice voting, and campaign finance rules

On the ballot: November 3, 2026 Initiated state statute

Heads up: A YES vote repeals Alaska’s open top-four primary and ranked-choice general elections, and repeals campaign finance limits and disclosure rules adopted by voters in 2020.

A YES vote means

Alaska’s open top-four primary and ranked-choice general elections would end, and party primaries with single-choice general elections would return. Certain campaign finance limits and disclosure rules adopted by voters in 2020 would be repealed.

A NO vote means

The open top-four primary, ranked-choice general elections, and the 2020 campaign finance and disclosure rules would stay in place.
